An afternoon report today.

And another beautiful clear sky day in Hakuba. Things are very quiet and all of this makes such a big contrast to what is happening in northern parts of Japan right now. The resorts are all operating close to normal today though the Gondola is still not operating at Happo and the Ropeway/Gondola at Tsugaike also not moving yet. Apart from that though it sees be close to business as usual... though the quiet slopes certainly don't make it feel like a normal Sunday.

Of course if people don't get out riding the slopes then the ski resorts will also start to suffer, so it will be interesting to see how the coming few weeks turn out.

Weather wise, it looks like tomorrow see another sunny start to the day and temperatures may rise to around 9 or 10 degrees, similar to today. It may well cloud over and we might see some rain in the valley though snow will hopefully be back with us by Tuesday night into Wednesday.
