Mid winter conditions have returned to Happo!! We have received 30-40cm of light, dry powder on upper slopes making for some awesome skiing! Forecast is for light snow flurries to continue throughout the day and into tomorrow. Once again cold temperatures prevail, so please dress warmly.

Avalanche Advisory:
Take due caution in off-piste and backcountry areas today. After intense snowfall associated with strong winds we now have 30-40cm of new snow and more in wind deposited areas over the March 11th rain crust. There is instability at the new snow/rain crust interface that will be sliding easily and running fast on slopes over 30 degrees. Be very cautious around cornices and on lee slopes. Do not cut slopes above other riders. At lower elevations the rain layer may not have frozen and there for below below tree line you can expect wet snow slides on solar aspects until the rain layer freezes.

Avalanche Harzard:
Alpine: High. Natural and human-triggered avalanches likely.
Tree Line: Considerable. Natural avalanches possible. Human-triggered avalanches probable.
Below Tree Line: Considerable. Natural avalanches possible. Human-triggered avalanches probable.
