Hello and good morning from Hakuba.

A rather miserable day at base yesterday with rain continuing through the day.

Hakuba 47 are this morning claiming some 'top season level' snow on their upper slopes. I really do not wish to be cynical, but yesterday afternoon they were talking about very heavy (as in weight, not the rate of falling) snow on the upper areas and not mentioning any new cm. So I am curious to see how we might be enjoying peak season snow this morning. But! I am willing to go check it out and see. Obviously, I would be very happy to find really nice conditions.

It certainly should be a good morning to be outside and on the board(s). Some blue skies, cloud and sunshine. Nice.

It looks like the top Alps 2-4 lifts at Goryu as well as the Toomi Number 1 pair are on hold at the start of the day due to wind.

Call me excited: chance of snow tomorrow. :)
