Wind, wind, wind. That's the headline from yesterday. The sun made it out with lots of cloud still around the upper mountains, but it sure was windy out there and it affected quite a few lifts in the valley.

Though it doesn't sound like Hakuba was the only place experiencing such conditions yesterday. The wind was blowing everything around (including people who don't weight too much, maybe) and as you might expect it didn't help the conditions on the slopes.

Anyway. On to today. Thankfully much less wind. Just a bit of snowfall on the mountains overnight - some resorts reporting nothing with others 5-10cm. It's cold still and I haven't been out yet of course but I would imagine some icy conditions this morning, on lower areas in particularly.

Another mixed bag of conditions early morning. It was snowing lightly here in the village earlier but that has stopped now. There's a bunch of clouds still around but also some blue sky and sunshine in places. That mix looks set to continue today and maybe tomorrow as well. Still looking at getting back to some potentially decent snow at the weekend, which would be good.

Note to self: If I was only covering one skijo it would make the report much easier!
