It was cold overnight in Hakuba with the temps dropping down to around -10C. Some snow during the day yesterday but the resorts don't seem to be reporting that, apart from Hakuba Cortina with 3cm. (Yesterday afternoon 47 were reporting 5cm during the day).

As of 9am it was -2 degrees in the village and we are headed for a high of about +5 degrees today. A few wispy thin clouds around but mostly it's blue skies and sun this morning.

Tomorrow it should start getting colder though not enough to avoid rain in the village probably though straight to snow higher up. After that, we have reason to be expectant for decent snowfall tomorrow and Thursday and it even looks like the snow clouds won't go to far away through the weekend as well. Proper (nearly) mid winter colder temperarautes are expected from Thursday.

Collective fingers crossed!
