[Originally posted earlier this morning - late appearance due to technical issues]

So yesterday was a rainy one unfortunately. But brighter news this morning. Well, it was duller earlier on with thick cloud shrouding the mountains but since then the clouds have dispersed somewhat and it looks like we will see things really clear up by lunchtime.

It was mild overnight only lowering to about 4 degrees and today it will warm up to maybe over 15 degrees in the valley.

Similarly warm tomorrow but probably sun from early on.

Resort news this time from Tsugaike Kogen. They plan to be open until Golden Week but now are restricted to upper slopes with the Gondola and Ropeway, the Tsuga Number 2 pair lift and the Hannoki high speed pair lifts operating. They are trying to keep the downhill course open as long as possible.

At Happo-one, you can still ski down to base but only over on the left side of the resort (public course). Otherwise for the other areas you need to catch the lifts down.

Hakuba 47 wins the (imaginary) award for remaining full open the longest!
