Yesterday was a cloudy day throughout, but today there's more breaks in the cloud with some blue sky on show and the sun is shining down on Hakuba at the moment. Indeed the forecast is for a sunny day here with temperatures rising to around +8 degrees.

The snow has mostly melted away from village areas now as we patiently - or not so patiently - wait for a significant snowfall to bless us. Can't see that on the forecast just yet unfortunately.

Anyway for now it should be a fine day to be on the mountains. Not perfect snow of course but... we have all that to look forward to.
