Good morning from Hakuba.

It feels more like the middle of winter than April for the moment. Not complaining. (Well, apart from the fact that I was not able to get my skis on yesterday and I am not able to today either).

But I am hearing good things about this fresh snow we have received.

Just 3cm to report from base areas but resorts are again reporting more... Hakuba 47 reporting 20cm further snowfall on upper areas. (Happo-one just going with 5cm this morning).

Whatever, it's perhaps not the time to get bogged down with numbers. It is just amazing to see this much fresh snow falling as we enter April. Bit mad.

There is some blue sky around now but believe it or not we are expecting more snow later this afternoon and perhaps at times tomorrow too.

!!

The Hakube Norikura, Hakube Cortina and Hakube Iwatake resorts are now closed for the season after their last day of the season yesterday.

Kashimayari plans to continue until Sunday.
