It snowed again last night, as it has every night for what seems like the last week, leaving a solid six centimeters on top of everything here in the town. It's a decent -4 outside right now, not too far off from the tug-of-war we seem to have been having recently with the freezing point, but low enough to keep the snow relatively dry and crystalline. Is this really January 30th? Where are the -20's and the 'diamond dust' phenomenon everyone here talks about? Next week will likely be a return to normalcy with regular dips down to the mid minus-teens, but for now it's like early spring in antarctica, and even the snow showers seem to have tapered off for lunch. They should be back in time to soften the edges of afternoon runs, and then quiet down for good come early evening.
