The warm weather has continued for the past two days, further depleting our snow reserves by a solid 10cm on the mountain. There's still 1.2 meters of the white stuff around, but everything on top is all slushy and less than ideal for winter sporting. It's currently sitting at 4 degrees, but thankfully winter should make a bit of a comeback starting later tonight, as temperatures drop back below freezing for the first time in 48 hours. Snow showers heading our way should put a nice layer of white on top of everything during the overnight hours. Those heading out to the resort tomorrow morning should be in for the best conditions we've seen in the last few days.

The forecast for next week is looking much colder with snow every day, almost as if the sky was apologizing for all that Spring she unexpectedly dropped on us yesterday. This is typical for the Late March - April period here in Central Hokkaido, and we will probably see this cold/warm cycle continue for the next few weeks. Here's hoping to next week and a lot of new snow.
