Yesterday was a fairly gusty day but there were some nice breaks in the clouds allowing for some blue sky views. Given that it was New Years Day, you really had to wonder where all the skiers were as the slopes were very very quiet. It was also warm yesterday breaking into positive temperatures and this was evidenced by very slippery roads in the afternoon.

This morning is mostly cloudy but during the morning we should at least get some sun beaming down. Temperatures are warm again, currently -1c and heading to a high of 0c, so not much variation during the day. It is snowing lightly but there is no accumulation on the ground and the snow is forecast to ease off and then return in the evening. The big question is will the Gondola operate today....it was shut down all yesterday for maintenance...fingers crossed on that one.
