jared 0
Does it make much difference, I realise it depends on the box but it it really noticable or just a couple of hundred en a tank?
miteyak 0
If you're going along regular roads, not that much, but on the freeway, quite a lot. The vehicle handles noticably worse as well, low and behold, esp. in strong winds. Traveling at 120kph,reckon it might put 10-20 percent on the fuel bill.
Ocean11 0
I haven't noticed that much difference with handling, or fuel consumption with my rack.
LucyLiu'd 0
Hardly any difference, if any at all.
miteyak 0
With no Thule, Osaka-Nagano-Osaka takes two tanks, with a bit to spare. With the thule, I have to fill up a third time, coming back with a lot to spare. Done this for five years now, Done the Nagano trip well more than 50 times, with and without. Fuel change not so noticable with a rack, however, so if you're into fuel economy, get one of those..
