pie-eater 207
So are they a real band or not? I'm confused: Spinal Tap are recording their first new material in nearly twenty years. The spoof English heavy metal band is the brainchild of American actors Michael McKean, Harry Shearer and Christopher Guest. They first featured in the classic 1984 "mockumentary" This Is Spinal Tap and went on to record two albums. Shearer, who these days voices several Simpsons characters, told BBC 5 Live: "It'll be for download as well as on conventional media later this year." Spinal Tap recorded their last album, Break Like The Wind, in 1992. The band briefly reformed two years ago for the Live Earth gig at Wembley Stadium in London.

yamayamayama 2
Some good 08 albums Beck - Modern Guilt Restrained but good all the same AC/DC - Black Ice AC/DC. What more can you say! Razorlight - Slipway Fires Big songs, big choruses
veronica 2
New Prodigy sounds pretty decent on first listen. Tomorrow Depeche Mode will be performing their new single on some show in Germany. Amazingly, it has not leaked at all this time. At all! Can't wait, the buzz is good. Electronic and dark are words I like to hear. I know, I'm obsessed! (But I like my obsession!) grungy-gonads 54
If you haven't already v, Wrong is on youtube (for now, until it is pulled) coz kroq played it. Very electronic. I like it.
veronica 2
Friend sent me an MP3 of it gg. Kinda unexpected but I just love it, fantastic bass synth line going through, great layered build up and Gore's bits at the end are just lush. Just how I like my DM to sound, different but it really couldn't be anyone else.
grungy-gonads 54
New Prodigy album is good, like it.
gerard 6
Mozart's requim at the moment. A little dark and heavy but definitely not electronic.
veronica 2
That sounds good actually. Is that the one he was writing (in real life) depicted in the Amadeus movie? I'd like to get into classical more it's just knowing where to start.
7-11 2
New U2. Sounds better than the last two albums which I found fairly boring. Still U2 are nowhere near as good as they used to be I feel.
klingon 10
Everything But The Girl. I liked some of their stuff the later ones were good. Tracey Thorns solo album is also pretty good.
big-will 7
That new U2 single must be the worst they have ever released. What a load of bollocks. Apparently it's the worst track on the album.
ShinyDiscoBall 2
The new album is pretty good. Don't listen to all the experimentation bollocks - it's U2 and it sounds like it.
2pints-mate 0
I'm not violent at all, but Bono needs a good punch in the face.
BagOfCrisps 24
Hey veronica what you think about the scary spooky vid for Wrong? Interesting for sure, though perhaps a little too graphic to get the point across. Though I suppose that is the point. It seems to be getting a lot of attention
veronica 2
Hmmm, not exactly keen....
2pints-mate 0
Wot no chorus? Reminds me of Halloween that.
onsen tamago 0
The White Lies album is really good. Reminds me of a modern version of Joy Division / Echo & The Bunnymen. Confident first album.
BagOfCrisps 24
MGMT "Oracular Spectacular" is an interesting sounding album.
