Woollyman 0
Quote: guzzlers-baps I've been listenig to a few old Crowded House cds the last few days. They're Australian (?), right? Some good songs on there. Arrggghhh, they are NOT Australian!! They are from New Zealand and yeah they are damn good, very mellow, nice memories of home and nice to cruise to. I just listened to their greatest hits cd the other week for the first time in ages.

Oyuki kigan 0
The new K-Os, DOA's anthology, and some old Bad Brains are my new ones. I'm hoping for the new political Steve Earl album for my birthday.
Ocean11 0
Dr Who mixes. Jeez but that theme was ahead of its time. It sounds really fresh even now. I have an extra creepy version played on violins and cellos.

NoFakie 45
The classic version of Dr. Who was famously on the Journeys by DJ mix cd by DJ by Coldcut back in around 1996. It was the first mix compilation to really jump around between genres. It was just when Ninja Tune was getting off the ground.
7-11 2
Ocean11 - where you get them (ie how can I find them?) - any names of good ones?
Ocean11 0
I got mine from Kazaa - just typed in Dr Who. I've got tracks by BBC TV Themes, Orbital, Time Lords, and FourPlay (the violins!)

stripper on coke 0
yeah, the timelords (klf) are cool, I like that dr who track too. I used to dj in a strip club in roppongi, and used to give that track a bit of 'titty time air play' - it would always bring a comment from someone. Been listening to the new x-dream album. Anyone else into this sort of stuff ? These guys are pioneers in the trance scene, their sound has changed a lot over the years, but they always mange to stay just in front of what other people are doing, even their old tracks still sound new. Got an extra cd as well (other new tracks that didn't make the album), with a track with some great samples from american evangalists (??) - kinda funny, I think it's called 'praise the lord', looking forward to hearing that one on the dancefloor.... JellyBelly 1
They're making a new Dr Who series, right? I wonder how they'll get the music done for that. I hope they don't spoil the whole thing.
frannyo 2
I got the new Fatboy Slim last night. Given it 1 listen so far, seems ok. It's hard to believe that guy used to be in The Housemartins.
happyhappy 0
That new Fatboy Slim one gets right on my nerves, that Slash dot com thing. Aaaaarrrggggghhhhhh! I'm listening to Aqualung at the moment, quite like it.
danz 0
Juts saw this band from chicago a few nights ago... Umphrey's McGee... they are a hard rockin dual-guitar band with clear Zappa, Zeplin, and Yes influences but a definite groove and sound all their own (Yuki's P, you would dig these guys!) Heading in an hour to see Medeski Martin & Wood live in support of their new album, End of the World Party , which is an amazing album
grungy-gonads 54
The last few weeks I've kept on hearing a song I really like. Quite slow, reminds me of Coldplay. Didn't know what it was called or anything. Just saw the vid for it now. I really like it, the band is called Aqualung.
Oyuki kigan 0
The new Frank 'Black' Francis double CD. The new stuff is marginal, but the pre-Pixies demo CD blew me away. He is my fat, bald rock god. Me+The Pixies=Trueluv4ever
