indosnm 0
Yep callipers are old. Has anyone ever seen them in a gym here? Water displacement method I have done a few times at the sports institute in Sth Oz. I have never seen them anywhere else except at the AIS too. The reading wasn't really that much different from what the worked out with the callipers. Orange, like Zwelly said be careful with the metabolism. You should eat smaller meals but more often eg. brekkie, morning tea (can just be fruit), lunch, snak, dinner. they say every 2.5-3hrs to keep your metabolism active. TheOrange 0
Again thanks for the tips, I am now spreading out my nibbles and eating a little bit more than before. Ganbarimasu!
cheeseman 1
Have some cheese! Not only is it delicious, but it is also nutritional and fun to eat with others (or even alone). Good stuff, cheese!
TheOrange 0
I think I'll stay away from cheese, cheeseman. Thanks all the same.
oo 1
That might be a good idea apart from little nibbles.
veronica 2
Try the Slim Fast diet - good one, yummy good-for-you milkshakes for breakfast and lunch, then a decent meal in the evening. My mother lost 6kg in as many weeks on that.
Karnidge 2
I know someone trying that too and they seem to be losing weight on it.
rachael 0
Milkshake for breakfast and lunch would drive me nuts.

Stefan 0
Went down the gym yesterday and found out I have 14 % body fat???????? Is that good, bad? The gym I use backhome is like some old Victorian Institute compared to this new hyper sophisticated place. Body fat measuring facilities, earphones for tv WHILE you cylce, breathing thingmebobs. In fact I think the machines are so advanced thay could run FOR you. Orange you might wanna try the place out, they're bound to have some kinda police radar detector! I do hope he is alright. miteyak 0
If the reading was done with a machine, at 14% it's pretty meaningless! (14% is good, by the way...)

miteyak 0
The fat testing machines aren't accurate for low levels of BF, or if you are althletic/muscular. Get some calipers!
alien 0
I'm one of those lucky people who can eat and drink huge amounts and never seem to put on weight! Will that change when I get older?
