i know there r lawyers who will show no surprise, and others familiar with legal docs that won't be moved, but for those others who see these things rarely, i just want to be clear about what we r taliking about...

from the Environment Protection Act 1986 (WA):

"equipment" means apparatus, appliance, boiler, chimney, crane, device, dredge, engine, facility, fireplace, furnace, generator, incinerator, instrument (including musical instrument), kiln, machine, mechanism, oven, plant, railway locomotive, retort, structure, tool, vehicle or vessel or any other equipment of any kind whatsoever

got it?

good

I love the way legal text always has this bit on the end. It doesn't seem to make sense:

"Equipment is defined as A, B or C, or any other equipment of any kind"

It is about as helpful as saying:

" A rock is granite, basalt or dolerite or any other rock of any kind"
