Retired Morris Dancer 0
I have a Japanese friend who has a place up near this place in Nagano. I read some reviews about it, seems ok - anyone here like the place?
Fattwins 0
Never been but I here it caters more to the young crowd ie lots of things to do besides skiing. Real close to Nozawa even closer to Iiyama city. I would give it a go.
scouser 4
Its a fair place (Madarao and the joining Tangram) and as Fattwins said its near Nozawa, Shiga and Myoko as well I suppose.
echineko 1
Its nice place, but I think just 1 day. Then go to Nozawa or nearby another place. By the way, what is morris dancer?
metroid256 0
I'm going there this next winter -got a Japanese friend whos family own a pension by the resort. I'll post a review and info once I've been.
Ocean11 0
Never been tempted to go to Madarao - it seems to be one of the major package tour destinations though. echineko, you'd like Morris Men. They have bigger testicles than a tanuki, and they're very genki.
rach 1
Not many of them in Bristol though....
akibun 0
Nice place I like it. Good views of Myoko on fine day.
base40 0
As Blackadder once said, "Morris dancing is the most fatuous, tenth-rate entertainment ever devised by man. Forty effeminate blacksmiths waving bits of cloth they've just wiped their noses on. How it's still going on in this day and age I'll never know." No offence intended Retired Morris Dancer. slaphead 0
A fairly new friend of mine has some kind of pension or condo near that place, so I'll be going up there I reckon. Hope its good.
IceEiji 0
I'm sure I heard once that there was a Morris dancing club in Tokyo. Perhaps you could look it up?

base40 0
Back to the subject of Madarao. I've been invited up there one weekend in December so I hope its good.
Will Lee 0
From what I've been told the place is mostly skiers and kinda weak. Short lifts and courses aren't very well laid out. No real park and lift tix doesn't come cheap either. But don't just take my words for it...going check it out yourself. One of the main reasons I would bypass this joint is because there are several options in the area that are more attractive...Nozawa being one of them, Myoko Suginohara is another, heck, even Kita Shiga Ryuo looks tempting!
