rach 1
Does anyone know where I can buy Mars bars here in Japan (not FBC etc) - like, in a SHOP??? Tried a search online but couldn't find anything.
Ocean11 0
My old man always liked to follow the wisdom of "A Mars a day helps you work, rest and play". That's why he now has diabetes.
mogski 0
I think they have in the Sony Plaza shops every now and then.
Plucky 0
Not to rub it in, but we have them on base. Never was a big fan though - they don't help much with that 'supple, young body' look
miteyak 0
They currently have bags of mini mars bars at the import store in OCAT namba (that'll be Osaka) Costco carries a range from bounties, to milky ways, and may well have mars bars, but seeing as my snacks tend to be more celery stick and a jolly large shake in nature, I'm afraid I didn't pay too much attention. nzlegend 1
I have seen "Moro" Bars around, Moro are virtually identical to a Mars and made by NZ Cadbury
Weegeoff 0
In Scotland there is a delicacy of deep fried mars bars in batter
Snowhaus 0
Those deep fried mars bars are scary! I tried one once and I was nearly sick after the first bite. Couldn't finish it, and am pretty certain eating just one would be enough to turn you into a diabetic.
scouser 4
That is surely not actually true, right?
Snowhaus 0
Oh yeah, its true. If you're ever in NSW go to a town called Mollymook (South of Sydney). There's a guy who runs a fish and chip shop there, and the Mars Bars are his speciality. Something happens to the nougat when it gets deep fried - it congeals and becomes about 40 times sweeter than a regular mars bar.
indosnm 0
they do that in all fish & chips shops across Oz now. One guy gave me a small taste and it was sweet but one small peice was way enough. Anyone that can eat a whole one is a maniac and doesn't deserve their teeth! Imagine scoffing a KING SIZE down! scouser 4
King Size Mars bar now = normal size bar 20 years ago. Shrinking mars bars. Call the cops.
nagpants 1
The cops would be more interested in the case of the scandalously decreasing in size Creme Eggs.
green 0
Decreasing in size. Increasing in price.
big-will 7
Are you guys serious or winding us up?! How do you think the first "deep fried Mars" came about then? An accident? It sure doesn't sound appealing. (Does it??!)
gammaman 0
They`re deadly serious and it is true, creame eggs are getting smaller. Apparently glaswegian men eat the least amount of vegetables than any other men in the western world. My geography teacher said so. Must be true. Dunno how they descovered it, but must have involved beer at some stage (beer batter?!). Deep fried locusts are supposed to be good too.
enderzero 0
You think a deep fried Mars bar is bad, try a deep fried twinkie!! BLEH! I can't claim to have tried either but I don't plan to any time soon.
xxx 2
I don't think I can even imagine what that would be like.

mina2 6
A small place in Numata here once had some Mars bars - only for a week or so though. Strange that. I think I bought 80% of them.
