Another country with snow season at different time to Japan

I believe that people ski both on Kilimanjaro and in the Andes (crek me if I'm wrong). Or maybe they just snowshoe on Kilimanjaro, but our erstwhile friend camel will chastise you for your ignorance of the delights of South American snow. Do a search and you'll find some rather striking photos care of camel.

Get yer peepers into some of this!

I don't know how many times I opened this page last summer and pictured myself at the top of those wicked looking slopes...

Thanks for clearing that up, uh Larry. You think she meant on Earth or maybe it was Mars.

Akibun - South America is definitely known for amazing terrain and great snow. Most of the resorts are at extremely high elevations. I have a buddy who went to Argentina last year. He really enjoyed it and bragged about how far his dollar went (is there any country with a more messed up economic situation right now?). He broke his nose playing basketball and had a hell of a time getting it fixed. The horror story of the 14 hour flight back on sickening-barely working painkillers the day after the injury is enough to make you give up basketball. I believe Peru is great too though if you aren't quite as willing to take your life in you hands.
