Funny whenever anyone at work asks me if I want milk in my coffee, I say yes and they proceed to put some of that yummy creep powder in my drink. When I come back saying I meant real milk, I get some strange looks at times when I put REAL MILK (ie the liquid) in my coffee. Seems its not the done thing.

further more, milk means MILK, not efin cream.

That Creap stuff is vile. It is not just milk powder but also a coffee whitener. It is pretty much a distortion of nature. Nearly every coffee machine you see in most counties uses an equivalent. It is in all quite disgusting and up there with cheese in a can.

orange `ol son, i wish i was. i, wish, i, was! milk has next to NO nutritional value whatsoever. "But calcium, ya need ya CALCIUM" i hear ya scream. True, milk does contain calcium, but thats only if its straight from tha cows teet. by tha time it gets to us its been altered, toyed with, souped-up, `enhanced`, reduce fat-ed, flavoured, heated, whitened/brightened way beyond what was intended for human consumpsion, that virtually ALL tha good calcium it `did` contain has been stripped away.

even then, we`re only meant to consume it when we were babies. NO other animal/mamal continues to drink milk beyond infanthood. what makes us so special confused.gif

its an industry, thats what it is. millions of people rely upon its consumption to make a living.

btw, do you know anyone who has a calcium deficiency? i`ve never meet one person who could claim that. vegetables contain all tha calcium we will ever need, and then some.

you run don`t ya orange? i`l bet that if you slowly wean yaself off milk/dairy products, and keep up ya exercise schedule, you`ll shed some kilo`s and improve ya well being.

i'm with you powwwers- i really dont like milk, dont see the point of drinking it as you grow older. i prefer rice milk for cereal, but i rarely eat cereal so its not a big deal. cheese on the otherhand, is fabulous.

I don't think what other animals do is really relevant here. Other animals may not drink milk past infancy. Nor do they manufacture and drink beer, nor limit their populations with contraceptives.

If you aren't persuaded by this bizarre argument, and don't find milk disgusting, how will it improve your well-being to give it up?

As for knowing people with calcium deficiencies, I personally know a lot - people who have broken bones pathetically easily, and people who have low scores on bone density tests. Personally I eat a lot of vegetables and have calcium-rich sesame nearly every meal, so I have very dense bones. It's why I weigh so much.

everyone`s entitled to their opinions, that`s why ther`re like arseholes.. ;\)

i think other animals are relevant here bcos we are all part of the animal kingdom- just different shapes and forms. tha ONE thing we all have in common is that as infants we feed off our mothers.

bizarre argument wave.gif

Milk is Good. Drink Milk.

My god. It's amazing the things that get brought up here. I'm really bored as well but I don't bring up topics like Light Chocolate vs. Dark Chocolate and start a poll. I think everybody should take a break and look at porn for 1 hour and then come back here and then we can discuss.

;\) :p ;\) :p

Who cares what cow's milk is 'designed' for? Its skin is designed to keep the cow's innards inside, and yet we find that it works well for keeping our feet inside too.

As for other types of milk, we drink cows milk because we keep cows. If we kept goats or camels as other peoples do, we would drink their milk as they do. Except powwwers of course who would be there with his turban slipping over one eye saying "why not drink cow's milk, eh, eh?"

Ah, whatever. I'm not even that fond of milk myself, but if Toque had a piece of cheese about his person, I'd happily strangle him for it.

Complete bollox. powwers my son...

Milk protein, has the highest quality protein (measured by amino acid range, etc) of any natural product, followed closely by eggs, (generally favored by embryos).

Soy protein, although high in % protein, is of a very low quality, and recent studies have linked high soy protein intake by men with increased levels of estrogen production. Yes, soy is for girlies, and if yer not one already, you soon very well could be...

I like full cream milk (from cows) in my coffee. Forget about this creep stuff for me, if there is no milk I'll take my coffe black.

Personally, I think the majority of humans drink milk all their life because it tastes good. It also goes very well with tea, coffee, cereal, and makes scrambled eggs a little creamier.. :p ... BTW, I am not overly fond of the milk in Japan. I think milk in some other countries tastes better, but still, I have found nice milk here sometimes too....

P.S. Toque, how about a poll to see who votes on these polls....... lol.gif
