It appears so scumbag has stolen a CD containing the songs of U2 upcoming ulbum.

Ironically the new Album is called "disappeared".

What a bummer for U2, four years since their last release and now its about to potentially explode around the world by P2P like a a virus, all it would take would be one mp3 of each song and half the world could have a copy by the following lunch time.

Sucks big time for U2, the poor blokes must be gutted.

The album title is actually more accepted to be "Vertigo".

Just curious.....What do you suggest is the real difference between doing this and from downloading illegal copies of the songs from the internet?

Whilst it is certainly a bummer.....

......If its worth so much to them, and it represents such a large amount of work, blah blah --- they should bloody well take more care of it!

Looking forward to this one.

An article I found:

NEW U2 ALBUM STOLEN

Rock band U2 have called in the police after thieves took off with a copy of their top-secret new album Vertigo.

The CD - due to be released in November - was stolen during a photo-shoot in the south of France.

Lead singer Bono fears it will now appear on the internet where it could be downloaded illegally - costing the band and the record company millions in lost revenue.

U2 were being photographed for the album cover when they realised the CD had gone missing.

Police were immediately called to the Victorine Studios in Nice where they questioned make-up artists and photograpers, according to The Sun.

U2's manager and record company expressed concern over the incident, although stressed it was not the final edited version.

Manager Paul McGuinness said: "The band is so excited about the release of the new album.

"It would be a shame if an unfinished work fell into the wrong hands."

Lucian Grainge, chairman of Universal Music Group, added: "We're very keen to find the CD."

Guitarist Edge said: "A large slice of two years' work lifted via a piece of round plastic. It doesn't seem credible but that's what's just happened to us... and it was my CD."

Bono has described the new album as a "monster - filled with big tunes".
