connackers 0
Did anyone watch the England game? Owen got a hat-trick and much more suprisingly the central pairing of Zat Knight (who is he?) and Glen Johnson only conceded 2 goals! http://www.football365.com/news/story_153853.shtml http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,1563,1496607,00.html
BagOfCrisps 24
I was totally uninterested in this. Who were they playing, the second team of a small city in Peru or something? I like your picture scouser. I often find that scousers are good at laughing at themselves. It's a good quality.
connackers 0
Columbia. Sounds like it was a pretty good game in the end. Was a bit surprised that that`s it though. Since when did two games constitute a Tour???
2pints-mate 0
I wonder if cash has something to do with it.
2pints-mate 0
I see Figo is getting released from Real as well. I wonder where he will end up. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/4599111.stm
rach 1
United, with Ronaldo. So said the Sun a while back. So it must be true.
bobby12 0
Makes Figo's £34m transfer from Barcelona in 2000 seem like a waste of money. Is it really worth paying £34m for 4 or 5 years or service? I think Barcelona took Real to the cleaners on that one, even if it was a bit of a slap in the face at the time.
scouser 4
Real are difficult to understand. On the one hand you have this Figo story, then you get the smart 10mill (?) for Owen. (Then they don't play him.) I'm not too well up on overseas leagues though. Why should you be when we have the best in the world (he says with possibly a bit of sacrasm). ShinyDiscoBall 2
Great picture of Gerrard robbing the cup there scouser. Did you hear Baros put a dent in it too? So when is the new thread for next season going to appear? Who will have the honour of creating it?
giggsy 0
Who has posted the most on this one? scouser perhaps?
bobby12 0
this one is two seasons old already i believe

scouser 4
Yes, I would like the honour of starting the 05/06 thread. When I wonder.... Great rumour from The Sun today Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was not interested in signing Ashley Cole from Arsenal because he is too short.
rach 1
Urawa Reds vs Manchester United July 30th http://www.mujapan2005.jp/vodafonecup/index.html I wish I was able to go, but I'll be in England then. Anyone going?
tsondaboy 0
I think the following comments fit for this thread. I spent last night watching the game between Greece and Turkey for the WC2006 in a sports café in Roppongi. There were something like 50-60 Turks watching the game and cheering and I was only with one more Greek friend….. I felt like I was in a pub in Liverpool, naked with a Manchester United scarf wrapped around my neck! Finally the game ended in a tie 0-0 and we even had some biers with some of the T. guys. scouser 4
Let's friend! Anyway, if you haven't seen it a good interview with Ronaldinho in the Guardian today. And here it is: http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,9753,1499509,00.html
rach 1
At last some quite good Utd news - van der Saar has signed. I like that news. He's a good keeper, got tons of experience, much better than Carroll and should be good for Howard as well.
scouser 4
I think that's a good buy I've always liked him. Though think Robinson has more years in him, forget how old he is though.
lobu202 0
errr why do clubs agree on undisclosed fees, is there a reason? Van der saar is well past his best but nething is an improvement for man united.
rach 1
"Well past his best" is a bit harsh I think. He's always struck me as being a really good keeper. How old is he, 34. Not over the hill for keepers, I think long term Fergie things Howard is the man. 2 years with VDS and his experience etc, might end up being a really good deal.
Dims 0
Van daer sar is still a good keeper in my book. Pulled off some great saves in his time and in the past was pretty reliable (haven't seen him in action for a while though!)
giggsy 0
I was hoping we'd sign him mid-season. Happy about this one.
scouser 4
Past his best, possibly. Way past his best, I don't think so. Seems Gerrards new deal is being stalled again.
bong 0
I wonder if they went after Robinson. Seems he is close to re-signing with Spurs. My dad will be pleased.
ShinyDiscoBall 2
Our keeper's still better than yours I hope there is a serious challenge for the premiership next season though, a tight race is fun for all.
