humansoup 0
Hey, kinda new here I spend some time in Japan each year but based in LA. I'm interested to know what the biggest challenges there are on the hills in Japan, both on the resorts and off backcountry?

Giraffe 0
What were you actually doing to get 'caught'?
Fattwins 0
skiing or hiding in the bushes I would think. Tunnel toque what tunnel. I did know that we were gonna get busted at cortina before we went, but for 3400 yen everything included, and also 50 plus cms of powder ill take the risk. was a good day all told

montoya 0
That's a pretty discouraging list there. Just curious, were you mainly using the lift-access to do laps off-piste, or to get to the trailhead at the top and into the BC?
mattlucas 0
Almost all of them were lift-access to do laps off-piste
ProbablyaCrazyPerson 2
Getting enough money and holidays together to do what I want. Other than that, on the slopes the biggest challenge I had was that really steep run at Kandatsu in Niigata. That is one hell of a steep run.
marnix 0
What is the difference between caught and dame? Does dame means you got thrown off the mountain?
Fattwins 0
no just means dame
marnix 0
Ok, thanks
mattlucas 0
At 47 they didn't catch us but instead just saw a bunch of people in some bowls out of bounds On the run back to the resort they stopped us and told us it was dame to ski in those areas.
Fattwins 0
They told us to ski in an other area and things would be fine. in fact the chick patroller was hot and became a topic on its own. the Guy PT was a pretty good english teacher who talked to us in a cool way and told us how to ski the area without getting into trouble. went back next run and had a good run too. Fattwins 0
Dude it was all about me and my smooth sweat talking mate. plus the orange rockets were calling to her you just couldnt tell.
Davo 1
She was indeed a hottie, and oh so stern looking, gotta love the ice queen styles. The boys were enjoying her slient telling off. Pity you weren't there to try a bit of Hiroshima ben nampa on her Yamakashi . Have to say they were really cool about our slight transgression. Firm but fair .
Fattwins 0
i wanna get caught by her again, thats for sure.
BillTheBinMan 0
The steepest slope I've tackled here I think is probably that one at Kijimadaira. Not that much else there apart from that, but it sure is steep.
