fukdane 2
Are you a good weather only rider? Won't go out on the snow if it's more than light snow falling? Come on, own up - it's anonymous!
danz 0
I've skied in the rain in new england while the resorts were still trying to blow their man-made snow... that sucked...
quattro 1
This is a winter sport.
3-Pac 0
I have friends who will only go out there on a sunny day with the best conditions. They're not hardcore, I can imagine how they feel - feel it's a waste of cash. I don't care though, only the strongest fukubi will keep me off the slopes.
miteyak 0
I'm a bad weather rider, if there's not a blizzard going on I find it hard to be bothered...
fukdane 2
quattro - but is that relevant?
SKI 15
I used to be out there whatever the weather. As I'm getting on a bit now, real strong winds and heavy heavy snow might persuade me to take a soak or do something else instead.
kingjono 0
I would love to go riding in nice weather. Somehow, a blizzard always seems to appear everytime I go out.
Fattwins 0
depends on the rain though. sometimes it can beat you back.
quattro 1
Well I was joking. However it does take an amount of the white stuff for us to be able to enjoy our sport. There are also things that I find enjoyable about skiing in bad weather. Do I want to ski in a white out all the time no! Things that are enjoyable include: Less people Freshies No lift lines Freshies And there is something about batting down the hatches and being in your own self contained world Oh and did I say freshies
sakebomb 0
I love it when it snows heavily. Not many people, quite and peaceful. I can do what I want. I look forward to the shitty weather days so I can have a mountain to myself!
joshnii 2
I think this is surely going to depend on the big issue - do you live right on the slopes and can you pick and choose when you go? People who go for their hols from the city don't get much say in the matter. People living nearby can be picky!
jared 0
Its pretty hard to get motivated to ski in the rain.
linalmeemow 0
When I went to Hokkaido for a few days last season I was out all day every day, first lift to last. The locals and those doing the whole season thought I was crazy, but living in Tokyo you have to take it while you can get it. I just thought they were soft.
spook 0
can't say i like riding in a whiteout, but i love freshies! i'd much rather take wild weather and fresh snow than bluebird and tracked. if its snowing heavily playing around in empty tree runs is the best. and the nighta at hirafu when its dumping is absolutely phenomenal. charlotte 0
I've got to admit I'm not keen on being out there when the weather isn't being nice. I'll be able to have my pick more as well this year now I'm in Nagano
gnosis 0
Only the worst conditions will put me off.
mattlucas 0
I don't mind skiing in a blizzard. Except above treeline. That just gets difficult Rain will keep me indoors. Although I have a had a fun day or two in light rain. Snow gets so slow though. But nothing is better than a cold bluebird powder day
gnosis 0
They are just so sweet, aren't they? Especially on a weekday when its not crowded. Bliss.
scouser 4
Well I'm not always a wuss - I can manage being out there in the snow, even fairly heavy snow. (I just don't want to freeze my balls off by camping out in the stuff overnight!)
grungy-gonads 54
If only I lived at the bottom of a mountain instead of the bottom of a big slab of concrete.
Ocean11 0
You know it's going to be a hell of a ride when you're strapped in at the top of the Skyline and a 10 foot wall of windblown snow comes screaming up the tunnel...
A lawyer 0
Surely almost everyone prefers good weather. I know I sure do! I won't go out in a blizzard.
Telleboy 0
I don`t really care about the weather as long as its not gale winds, even if its puking down the visability the the trees is always skiable. NO RAIN, NO RAIN, RAIN SUX.
z1ppo 0
Its hard to pick and chose.. since i can only go during weekends, i have no choice but to ride in all weather, or chose not to go, which is not a choice.
