Mick Rich 78
Saw Rush at the cinema the other week (the story of the James Hunt/Niki Lauda fight for the '76 F1 world championship), which was good and also saw Prometheus on dvd, which was ok.

Alexander L 80
I saw 12 Years a Slave. It was overwhelming with the cruelty, but underwhelming in story telling.
pdoull 2
Saw 12 years a Slave on plane back to OZ but missed the last 10 minutes or so. Spoiler alert - Also watched The Hobbit - similar to others and lost a lot of effects with small screens in cattle class.
Alexander L 80
The Hobbit. Kept well away from that one. Jackson's greed overmilking a good children's book. Rather spoils good feelings I have for that book.

NoFakie 45
The Guns of Navarone was on in 1080i of goodness on BS the other day. Quality viewing that was on at least twice a year when I was a kid. Even though there were only three channels! Great to see David Niven et al. giving Jerry what for. Fingers crossed they put Ice Cold in Alex and The Cruel Sea on soon. Alexander L 80
A bit of a laff: Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Good one to take the kid to. Not seen a cinema so packed for ages. Each kid takes two parents, so they sell 66% more tickets.
