kokodoko 67
Persona is a film by Swedish director Ingmar Bergman, released in 1966, and starring Bibi Andersson and Liv Ullmann. Bergman held this film to be one of his most important; in his book Images, he writes: "Today I feel that in Persona—and later in Cries and Whispers—I had gone as far as I could go. And that in these two instances when working in total freedom, I touched wordless secrets that only the cinema can discover." Too bad it was fracking boring.

snowbender 3
I watched "Dave" last night with Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver. It's one of those silly, lightweight, inoffensive but mildly entertaining things that Hollywood puts out.

charlotte 0
I have been looking forward to Les Miserables. Always thought the idea of Russell Crowe as Javert was dodgy, and this sure doesn't help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSDgXERsPDA That does not sound like Javert to me! But other clips are good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O64W9E1OZh0 She played the part in the theater and so expected. Still really looking forward to this one.
charlotte 0
Oh, I enjoyed Skyfall too, I was kind of dragged there by the b/f but ended up enjoying it more than I thought I might.
Tubby Beaver 209
Does Russell Crowe try on a Joey-Barton-esque dodgy French accent? His attempt at Robin Hood was shocking
charlotte 0
I'm just going to be really so disappointed if he spoils it with his weak singing. Just sounds so weak and wooden. There's so many people they could have got to do a fantastic Javert and its such an important part.
Tubby Beaver 209
Ah....they're doing it as a musical? Not so interested now.
