bcoasis 0
This is just a quick note to those heading this way in the next day or so, regards snow accumulation. There has been a huge amount of snow fall within the last 72 hours and looks likely to continue for a further 24-48 hours. There has been no sun and very little settling in this time. So I am suggesting caution even out of course under the ropes and keeping close attention to your riding buddies. Extra attention to each other as terrain features which normally would not be an issue may very well cause problems with this amount of snow.

montoya 0
Good advice. Kagura has gotten at least 1.5 meters of new snow yesterday and today. It was also pretty windy (20 m/s according to the patroller we talked to). Nobody was hiking up today.
woywoy 0
Was the top lift open?
montoya 0
nope, the #1 hi-speed lift was closed. they said there was too much snow and it would ram into the bottom at places until they cleared it out.
tsondaboy 0
Just came back from Gala Yuzawa. The Southern area was closed all day and the northern area opened around 12 in the afternoon.
woywoy 0
Who rode Kagura on the weekend? How was it?
bcoasis 0
The quad was closed so Kagura never got out of the starting blocks. Nice day today though but I havn't heard how it was.
montoya 0
Looks like a pretty good-sized slab went recently on the North side of Nakaone in Kagura. Don't know exactly when, but nobody was caught that I heard of. follow-up: for anyone interested, it appears to have slid around 14:00 Sunday 13. Crown fracture was about 70-100cm, rumour is a skier was testing the slope when it slid about 50cm below him.
woywoy 0
Anyone one if the top quad at kagura has been open of late?
montoya 0
most recently it was shut down 2/11, but otherwise I think it was moving the rest of last week.
