John Deere 0
It is very much hearsay, please do not take it too seriously until it is confirmed, I could have been fed a line, but why anyone would make something like that up is beyond me!

SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted January 11, 2007 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted January 11, 2007 There are it seems lots of rumours around this morning within the community up in Niseko and we have asked a few people, but there is no clear news on this yet. Let's hope it is not true, (then we can start wondering why people might start something like that).

SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted January 11, 2007 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted January 11, 2007 Some extremely sad news from Niseko. Unfortunately, it seems that the story is true. One of our contacts in Niseko has just informed us: A 46-year old Australian male was killed in a ski accident on the evening of Jan 9th in Niseko. He apparently sustained fatal head injuries after hitting a tree. Our condolences to his family. (The family are apparently aware of the accident).

Powderoo 0
My thoughts go out to the family and friends, during this terrible time. Skiiers and snowboaders everywhere enjoy the snow and also are aware of the inherent dangers, and risks that come with it, so this sort of thing is an unfortunate statistic. Lets hope that this tradgedy reinforces in everyones mind, snow safety and also helmets and protective gear.
