daver 0
i had bad shin splints a few years ago, and it was due to A, the way i was skiing, B the type of skiing i was doing, and C my mediocre equipment. don't mean to suggest you get new boots, but it made a bug difference for me. Lachy 0
lol they are brand new boots.. lange freeride, and they fit really well! shin splints is when your shin has cracks in it, my shin bone isn't sore, its the muscle next to it its snowing outside and i dont wanna miss tomorrow - thanks for the reply though daver
thursday 1
I thought it was because you are leaning on your shins too much. Your boots may be canted too much forward hence much of your weight is resting on your shins.
sunrise 0
I remember reading somewhere that some Lange boots have a high ramp angle that might bother some people, I think it might be adjustable with a good bootfitter. Certainly worth checking out.

Bad news is that the only way to get them better is to rest & ice, then to exercise. Exercise by stepping on a towel and pulling the towel in towards you by bending your toes. Adjusting your equipment will help too. I tried to ignore it but it just got so bad that it hurt me to walk. The next season when I got new boots I didn't have the problem

thursday 1
actually, this time round I had no probs with shin, but major pain in the thighs. I had to onsen for 30 minutes each night. Seems my biking in the run up was not sufficient.

Fattwins 0
you must stretch before after and during sking if you get them. You get them more if you sit back. You could also have shin bang which means your boots are too stiff for the type of sking that you are doing.
