So I did it. I stopped painting and stressing about the season and started to enjoy the season.

I planned this all day, I knew what people would ski and what they wouldnt, so.... (I wont tell you my plan or else youll then know how to do this here is the outline)

I lapped up everything I could by lift at first. deep up to the knee blower powder on a great packed base. great conditions, no first tracks but great warm ups for the show.

So The real show begins. The resort is officailly not open to ski so you can officially go anywhere. WTF! why cant it be like that everyday(off topic). So I get to the top of my my line. I know where the big rocks are Im so stoked and ready. decide to hike 30 feet higher to get the right angle for the line, i wanna turn baby. drop in and its all up in my face. I lap up the run doing nice gs turns but holding back to enjoy the moment. No one to compete against, No rush, Just me and the first tracks of the year down a steep bowl. Get to the bottom and im shaking. Every turn was over my head! Every turn the snow was thigh deep and bottomless. I soak it in knowning one thing Im only 1/3 done.

Traverse over, farking hard breaking a trail for 100 meters in the knee deep. drop in again to thigh deep blower. traverse to the pincle 1000 vertical feet that i now know is sweet. I stop take piss and soak it all in again. Me no one just me, first turns and i can sit here for as long as i want to and no one is going to come. I wipe my goggles and drop in. Prefect snow knee deep gs turns the whole way. hit bottom once who cares this is the shizzle (for ebc).

finish get on the cat track and now I want to just get down without having to walk. I want to ski to the bottom even if I have to traverse, ill do it. The sasa proves to be a great base and I make more nervous powder turns. I end up sking right to the parking lot(ah old toque will be proud) no one no one around I am in my own heaven and it is prefect.

The next few days might see some of this snow melt but the base is here mid mountain and up in Hakuba. man was it fun to pack it down for yeah.

The last turn

I wish I could get out a bit more but i have too much crap to do. OU comes in a day and ryan comes on Sunday. After that we should fly through everything. Ill try to get more training in but the main problem this time was with how deep the snow was.
