Simon Ray 0
Hey Peoples, am looking into my 1st boarding trip to Japan and want to mix it with some sightseeing, so the package deal doesn't really appeal. The vague plan is to fly in early Feb, catch a day of the ice festival, board around Hirafu, fly down to Tokyo then go to 1 of the 100 resorts nearby, then fly back to Sydney. This is where I need help! There's so many to choose from!! Any recommendations for resorts near to Tokyo which are good for 4 inter to adv boarders, off piste and parks always welcome, at least a few amenities and OK accom for non Japanese speakers. Also what is the availability, price and quality of hire gear like? Thanks heaps
Fattwins 0
You can find a range of accom from 3000 yen a night to 30000 yen a night. Search Hakuba yuzawa myoko nozawa That will give you enough to eat through.
thursday 1
why bother with Hirafu if you're heading to Tokyo anyway. There are loads within 3 hours of Tokyo.

tea tray rider 0
5 of the 100 resorts sounds like a better idea to me, though sounds like you might want to catch the Sapporo festival.
