I started typing them out, but I can only remember the names of about half of them. Have got most of Tohoku notched on my bedpost, perhaps around 30. Add to that mountains that don't have ski areas and. . . who knows.

SJ1, I'm guessing more than a few of those 102 were "work" related. Ii na~.

Kumapix, are there really resorts called Whistler and Hunter Mt. in Japan?

I must admit that I'm a bit embarassed of some of the places I've been to. Had to go to a few cheap and crappy places in order to afford going snowboarding as much as possible. Going to some of the nicer places like Hakuba and Nozawa has kinda turned me into a snow snob and makes me never wanna ride my board in those other places again. It sucks not having a car.

Sorry I missed this until now!

Actually, I probably went to the majority of them for the first time before SJ started, and probably had visited about 50 in my first 4 or 5 seasons here, those mostly in Niigata, Nagano & Gunma. There have been a number of work related trips in the last few years of course but compared to those first few years, things have slowed down quite a lot. This year I plan to get out much more though. \:\)

Well, my first post was the list of resorts I went to last year and I did include Whistler. In my second post (listing 'all-time' resorts) I didn't put any non-japanese resorts. So please strike Whistler from the list of Japanese resorts I went to last year.
