In my opinion, started out about a 9, but went down hill (no pun intended) after mid-Jan. Just got too dangerous. Overall, I'd give it a 6.5

IAP-No negative comments on patrol this year, keep it up. I even saw one patroller at 47 help a girl who had gotten onto a run beyond her ability get down to bottom of it. Thought that was nice of him.

gifu blows hakuba rules.

i rate any season high if i dont get hurt.

As for snow heck the first 30 days and the last 30 days were off the hook good. thats 60days in one season that were pretty good. that rates at least a 9 for me.

Hakuba is certainly good
But it's really nice to look down off the mountains and see valleys with nothing in them Not even a road. And that's what's nice about Gifu

i would say........ 8! started the season at tateyama in november in a storm.... december was especially epic, totally off the hook with a whole powder crew in hakuba to ride with - it just did not stop snowing. clocked up about 80 days or so. still plenty of snow up there, so still more skiing to be done here, then there's nz in july/august... the never ending season (almost) ;\)

next season will be a 10... IF...

1. it snows like last december ALL season

2. we steal a skidoo and build a backcountry booter

3. i get fit enough this summer to ski the lines i want to next winter

patrol? emmm yeh, there's a possibility that i got escorted off a certain mountain this year by patrol down the moguls............. at 4pm hahahahahahaha
