thursday 1
Flogged it to a colleague. Looked on the receipt, it was May 07 when I got it. Time flies.
thursday 1
Nikon Club, What makes the SB900 better than the SB800? If it's just more expensive with no tangible benefits, then I'm going for it.
thursday 1
ok, done a read up firmware upgrade through the D700 flash range up to 200mm expensive ok new toy
fffr 0
New toys are good. I'm toying with the idea of buying a DSLR. And trying to find the spare cash to do so.
miller 1
I thought you had the 600, thursday? Hows the D700? Nice?
muikabochi 208
And what about the credit crunch thursday? People will scowl at the extravagence. How much are those in the shops over there btw? Current lowest on kakaku is 47490. I can't really justify something like that, I hardly ever use flash anyway and the one on the camera seems to do the trick. I may well be missing out though on a whole new photo world, need to study more.
thursday 1
justfication? interesting concept. If I went by justification I'd be without a DSLR. (not good enough to justify one) But the D700 really is good. I set it on ISO6400 and it just looks great. Throws out the concept of high ISO noise. Very impressive.
muikabochi 208
Perhaps I used the wrong word. There are other things I'd buy with 47490 yen before that. Hope to see some of your photos from the big N. With that camera, it JUST HAS TO take fabulous pictures.
thursday 1
Wow the Sb900 costs $3580, which is 41,600 Y. BARGAIN!!
thursday 1
excited about this one can actually fit a filter on this, unlike the 14-24.
muikabochi 208
What will that one be good for thurs? I'm hopeless at all the specs, but they do look sexy.
thursday 1
my widest is 24. Going 16 would be like almost a fisheye and with VR (vibration reduction, mechanical lens adjustment on the fly) means smaller aperture, thus deeper depth of field (more things in background in focus) And lighter. Muika, full frame calls. Your D300 will make it 1.5 times 16, which is 24. You already have that range covered.
muikabochi 208
OK good. Don't want to be tempted any more right now!
thursday 1
very suspish no? Nikon making 2 new lenses for full frame and none for DX? (the other one is a 24 F1.4) 1.4 would be amazingly sharp in low light.
