Kraut_in_HongKong 0
We are going to Hakuba end of January and do my last research here. We will probably stay near Happo-One. My question: Is there a kids or young teenager area? Mine are 8+11. They can ski, but I don't want them to go down the steep slopes. I don't want to look after them all day too. So that Saka area on the lift plan looks very good. Can somebody confirm this. Or has somebody a better suggestion? Jens PS: I am so excited!
mattlucas 0
Japan doesn't really have any of the runs that your kids could really hurt themselves on. I'd say it's a great area
Fattwins 0
dont worry saka has a kids area and some nice terrain off of the quad chair. Happo terrain is balanced once they get the bottom areas open. There are no open rock bands to ski through in Japan.
Kraut_in_HongKong 0
May I asked another newby question? Happo-One vs. Goryu - Which one? I guess either is good and it's more of a personal choice, or?
bettyx 0
happo & goryu are both great. for the kids, sakka is maybe wider , whereas i found goryu can get a bit crowded on the easier slopes? either way you'll have a great time. why don't you try a day at goryu and a day at happo? nzlegend 1
Dont forget the bottom of Tsugaike for youngsters.
gamera 0
If you try Goryu,Iimori area has some kids parks, I think Happo also provides something like that? But while your children are 8 and 11 years old, I think you don't need to worry about it too much. A 8 years old child does much better than parents expect.
Kraut_in_HongKong 0
I booked my hotel near Happa-One/Saka now! We'll stay there January 28-30th. Would be cool to hook up with other parents with English speaking kids in that age range (8+12). English would be best, German can also do.
