chonmage 0
Hello. Nice to meet you all. I'm was born in Nagano but now living near Kyoto with family and often we go ski for Biwako resort as it is not so far from us. I used to ski a lot when elementary student but recently not as much as I want to do. Do many of you go there at all? I would like to meet some and have chat. Sorry bad English! Fattwins 0
its just too expensive if you have to pay for the gondola and a separate lift ticket for me. Go to JR and buy the package through them its a much better deal.
rach 1
I've never been there but not heard the best things. I'd rather go a bit further to more decent places.
spenshal-Mechanic-triplet 0
Very short season as well I believe.
Davo 1
chonmage, just drive a bit further to Hachi-Kita Kogen in Hyogo-ken. It's well worth it, but I guess for the kids it may not matter so much, and the length of the drive may be the main deciding factor.
Ocean11 0
When I lived in Otsu, I walked up to Biwako Ballet once in the winter. I didn't even know it was there. I just wanted to roll around in the snow on top of a big mountain by myself. I was quite unhappy to find people skiing all over where I planned to roll around. It looked pretty crap too, even to my (then) untrained eye.
Davo 1
That's a bit of a hike isn't it? Crap, but good enough for kids and a bit of a play around. There was actually some nice powder the one time I went there.
Ocean11 0
Couple of hours up and down, with time allowed for getting completely lost. I used to go up that sort of 'hill' without a single thought for the consequences of total f-ups.
