newcomic 0
IM coming to Hakuba in 10 days to work for 4 months. Can anyone give me information on whether or not there is a cheap way to obtain passes for all the larger resorts, as i was told i would get sick of cortina in a day or two. Any info on cortina would help please.

mattlucas 0
Cortina is a pretty cool hill. Small but good. Patrol is a little difficult though I wouldn't want to ski there everyday of the season but cloudy days when you can duck into trees easily it's a good place. Take a look through this thread http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/5948.html
newcomic 0
Im working as a lift operator lol. Not the most exciting job. But better than working in a grocery store in Brisbane. Im working at cortina!
Fattwins 0
You are gonig to cry when you look at the terrain that you will be fired for if you ski. Buy a pass over at
newcomic 0
Really? You can be fired for going off patrol?

newcomic 0
nice!!!! Sh1t i cant wait to hit some snow. I have only been snowboarding once in Australia and had to enjoy the grass/rocks/ice lol!!
mattlucas 0
If you have only been Snowboarding once then you shouldn't have a problem with Cortina. It will keep you busy Be carful about going into the trees as not only is it uncontrolled and you probably don't have the knowledge you will also get into lots of trouble when you get caught. And you will get caught. You will probably loose your job and that will end you 4 month "vacation" really quick
Yuki's Passion 1
Yeah, we got busted there soooo many times. Awesome runs there though but Nazi patrol

TJ OZ 0
You won't have a problem buying alcohol because you can buy it from a vending machine.

Fattwins 0
Ask tetsu on patrol to drive you off the mountain sometimes. If you have only boarded 10 times cortina might scare you. My advice is this if you want to ride trees go somewhere else. You will get caught on your first day riding them. The patrol will know that you are staff and cut you slack once. After that you are looking at seriously loosing your job. You can get a pass for norikura through your resort. those 2 mountains are connected and together should be enough to keep you busy enough. Take my advice play by the rules where you work in Japan it doesnt float when you are the only one breaking them.
newcomic 0
ok cheers for the info.
Yuki's Passion 1
I couldnt imagine that youd keep your job for long when you have to bust people for riding where they shouldnt be and you then go and do it. Ride safe where you work; play hard where you dont
