bunalex 0
Hello everyone, i am new here. Me and my friends are trying to go snowboarding during november in either gifu or nagano, anybody know if there is any ski resort open early...or soon??
Fattwins 0
wings north of nagoya. one run I think from the 19th of november.
mattlucas 0
Most of the Takasu areas have 1 run open each by mid November. Really expensive for what you get to ski though.
Yuki's Passion 1
bunalex, you sure you wanna fight over a 25 meter wide 400 meter run with 5000 people? Wait a month and have the mountain open and you will have a nicer time and get more for your money like toque said.
mattlucas 0
It is fun though The last 5 or 6 years I have always started the season skiing shitty snow like that. I recommend it if you don't have to drive to far for it. But saying that in Canada I used to drive 3 hours each way for 1 run at the beginning of the season
scouser 4
Marunuma in Gunma is supposed to open on Wednesday. Not sure what you're going to ride on though.... grass perhaps >> http://www.npd.co.jp/malnuma/2006s/live.html
sava 0
scouser: nice pics way too much snow though, hard to make out things

By real snow, do you mean the white slush that comes out of a tube hooked up to a small building in above zero tempratures? In that case, yes. And share one 1 meter-wide by 500 meters long run with several hundred punters and you get my version of the seventh circle of snowboarder`s hell.
griller 9
Sounds like fun. not. But the real stuff will be with us before tooo long (hopefully!)
krotch 0
I'm fine with the man-made snow, but they need to cover the mountain with it. Plus all other surrounding mountains, just cause I want to see them covered in snow.
muikabochi 208
Now that might be a little expensive! The Naeba one they open is always about 15 meters wide, all around is green!
scouser 4
I remember seeing photos from Naeba last year and thinking..... no thanks. I think they charged some crazy price for that one run as well.
advantyper 0
Mt. Baker open last week Whistler BC open last week Mt.Hood open this friday , taking friday off to do first dips boarding. BagOfCrisps 24
That sounds really early... .is it normal that they open around now?
mattlucas 0
It's a couple weeks early for sure But not the earliest ever either It is strange to be opening with such a deep base though But they deserve it after getting skunked pretty bad last year
advantyper 0
ha..ha... sort of! so no resort open yet in lower Japan area? the snow wasn't that great at Mt.Hood anyway on friday, tons of people there got to wait 10-15 mins for the lift. bit icy, but after 5 months without boarding, can't complain too much.
