fukdane 2
I think that hockey is definitely an aquired taste. Like Marmite.
number9 0
Or cricket or rugby... not as much of an acquired taste as Aussie rules it seems

brit-gob 9
I've been speaking to a few friends about the Olympics and the snowboard cross racing event seems to have been really popular with almost everyone. It was fun to watch that.
thebasics 0
They were fun. I want to try it.
SKI 15
I enoyed that as well actually. I might even check out a snowboard one day.
rach 1
That was all over so quick wasn't it. Now the build up to the World Cup will start and they'll be fixated on Japan winning that (or at least getting to the semis).
number9 0
In the meanwhile the World Baseball Classic is pretty interesting, even if the American hosts are treating it as preseason games. Then it's going to be the World Cup in Germany. Lots of off hours world championship watching and sleep depravation from Feb-Jun..
0151 0
Baseball? What's that?
7-11 2
Looking forward to the World Cup. The commentary I have heard Japan are actually hoping and thinking it is realistic that they'll get to the semis.
Ocean11 0
Curling and ogling seem to be two sports that have taken off in Japan since the Olympics.
number9 0
7-11, really? Maybe some of the absent minded cheerleaders on broadcast TV. Anyone who has any knowledge about Japanese soccer aren't giving the boys in blue much chance what with being stuck in a group with Brazil and Croatia (Socceroos have about the same chance as Japan in getting out of the group stage). snowbender 3
I think Japan have beaten Crotia before, they could certainly sneek in 2nd in the group. Perhaps we need a World Cup thread?
