Guest
Japan seems to get a large amount of snow in the winter (I have never been), but the temperatures did not seem to be too low considering. Can anyone tell me if it is cold considering the amount of snow? It is for my project, and you would be a big help - thanks!
big-will 7
Most of Honshu is surprisingly mild considering the amount of snow. It can get really cold especially in the north and Hokkaido
miteyak 0
Something else to think of is where the temperatures are being measured. Most temperatures are for the valleys, whereas the heaviest snow is higher up. The temperatures are also not really that high for maritime snow conditions.
StickShift 0
Thats good to hear. Don't want to be too cold when I get to Japan next winter.
klingon 10
Ooh, don't you just miss the snow. More and more as the weeks go by I expect. Go to the top of Zao in the middle of winter - you'll think its cold then!
