something2do 0
I live in Kyushu and enjoy the place, but can't help feeling green hearing about all you peeps up in Nagano, Niigata, Hokkaido and the like. All that snow in winter. Sounds great. The few resorts here have a very short season and really not very good. A trip to Hiroshima and the like is called for when we want to go out to a fairly decent place.
7-11 2
What is the snow like down there then?
something2do 0
Small in quantity, but for a short period of time, actually quite decent. But it is a short period of time. And only a handful of places. So there is very little choice.
Brain 0
something2do, what's it like down there in summer? Unbearably hot or what?
sachiko 0
I think it will be very very hot in summer, even now, Brian. Not my favorite kind of weather.
debbie 0
I was down in Kyushu last July. It was steaming. Think Tokyo or Kansai is bad? Try it down there for the real oven feeling.

Wizz 11
It must be so hot down there rounds about now and in summer. What's it like something2do? I'm interested in the place, just don't want to go there in oppressive heat conditions.
