moyashi 0
We all hear tons about Niseko Hirafu. What about the other resorts on the mountain up there - Annpuri and HigashiYama? Has anyone any thoughts on them too? moyashi
frannyo 2
In my (limited) experience, Higashi was the most fun after hirafu.
IIIII 2
All of them completely over-rated. Take my word for it.
Mudguts 0
COMPLETELY Over-rated? Please explain IIIII. Back up such a comment with your reasons why.
IIIII 2
Now that was bound to get a response, wasn't it? I just meant that Niseko is over-hyped to a point where reality goes out the window. I am sure some people go there and, even though they enjoy it, may well be disappointed due to the build up it seems to get everywhere. That's all.
nagoid 4
Have you actually been up there y'self IIIII?
IM 0
I do go to Niseko about 4 times/season or so. Never skied in either Higashi or Annupuri, but I do not hear any good thing about both of places uless you are on-piste rider/skier. But, I do enjoy Chise and Waise backcountries as well as Iwao. IIIII 2
What about Hirafu itself then, IM?
oo 1
They're all fairly decent if you ask me. I've been a few times and spend most of my time at hirafu, but the snow is just so good up there.... The other places aren't as popular, but they ain't half bad.
oblivion 5
Hirafu is the best up there, but the others are worth checking out. The snow is just too good to miss.
IM 0
Hirafu is good place if you want to go off piste for powder. But on piste, the mix of runs are for eiter expert or biginner - I don't think it is well balanced. This goes for both riders and skiers. For on piste people, place like Rusutu may suit better in my opinion.
Guest
That Rusutsu is often overlooked, but it's a decent place for people the majority of "on-piste" riders.
moyashi 0
Hmmm. Thank you.
IM 0
Plus Rusutu now has a locally operated Onsen and is only 300 yen!
