ivo 0
if you search a good halfpipe, go for oze tokura (aka, burton town). the area is quite small, but they had last year 3 halfpipes 2 were allways open and one got shaped. there were also some small rails and some kickers scattered all around the slopes. if you like to ride the olympic halfpipe, it's near yudanaka, (close to the place where the monkeys chill in the onsen)
Wizz 11
Don't laugh...... ....but GALA have a great park you know made by some famous dude. They are going to make it better this year too by all accounts. The only thing about GALA is - go on a weekday! Otherwise it may not be fun.
Nat 0
Takaifuji in Nagano is cool, Gala & Ishiuchi are good plus easy to go by Shinkansen. Kagura-Mitsumata-Tashiro slopes are okay slopes but snows' condition is good and Slopes in end-Jan to End-Feb is not busy... Ta.
Guest
Gala beats Ishiuchi, but you know you can do them both on the same pass if you get the "3 mountain" one. Ishiuchi the better place, but the board park at gala is cool when there arent many people around. ged

degsy 0
Quote: oze tokura (aka, burton town) What do you mean by that, Ivo?
ivo 0
check the resort and you will see ;-) it was more burton town a few years ago (a japanese friend told me that) but there is still a burton rental shop, a burton snowboard school, a burton shop and (almost) everyone rides burton there.... (not just the board, there are people who wear burton socks, underwear, t shirts, sweater boots, pants, jackets, caps and cloves! plus they have all the little things like keyholders wallets and those little bands for the handyphone.... BUT I HAVE REAL GOOD FRIENDS IN OZE TOKURA !!! cool people out there
