powpow 0 Posted November 17, 2001 Share Posted November 17, 2001 Harifu is the biggest and has the most lifts. But there is no Mt named Mt Harifu I think. The Harifu resort is actually on Mt Annupuri. And Niseko is a town actually about 20 minute drive from the ski fields. The closest town is Kutchan. And Fran is full of crap, so don`t believe her/him. Proves a point though - the volatile and political scene that is "Niseko" cant take a joke.... PS I like the resorts up there, but I also love about 15 others in Japan. Top 10 if you ask me, no more. Last year I experienced: Sahoro, Furano, Niseko, Rusutsu, Yamagata Zao, Naeba, GALA Yuzawa, Shiga Kogen, Happo, Hakuba 47 & Goryu, Hakuba Cortina. It was a blast. My favorites out of them? 1 Zao 2 Hakuba 47, Hakuba Goryu 3 Furano Niseko comes in at number 4. It's a good place, but if you ask me is over-rated in many people's minds. Have a great time.
