slow 0
I have been to Zao twice and just remember that onsen was too strong for me. I couldn't stay in a bathtub and felt so tired after onsen... Maybe it's just me and I should try Zao again sometime.
Dean 0
Anyone got any cheap suggestions of places to stay??
muikabochi 208
Onsen was too strong? Do you mean too hot? (?)
slow 0
No, not too hot. Hiri-hiri suru, smarting pain in English?
frannyo 2
hiri hiri , ah yes I remember that. I can't remember where it was but I felt like I'd been bathing in salt for a year for ages afterwards and was itching all over. Not nice.
kintaro 0
the onsen's in yamagata have a strong sulfur content. If you wear silver (for example) it will quickly become black. yamagata onsen's will probably burn your eyes. that's the strong that slow is (most likely) talking about. slow 0
That's what I meant. Thanks for explaining, Kintaro.
klingon 10
I noticed that too actually, I thought it was just my body being crap. Now I know! Thank you.
Yuki's Passion 1
I went to one called furou fushi 不老不死, fountain of youth you could translate it as, on the boarder of yamagata and akita. It was right on the ocean in a cove and was beautiful. Saw the sun set and drank some beers in it. One think I remember was it was really hot and the sulfur was strong too... that and it was basically konyoku
snowmonster 0
I was going to go today but the weather sucks big time. Hopefully the normal conditions will be with us in January
