Guest
I know Gala will not open until next week, but do you know how many slopes open in Kagura or Naeba area? Cheers!
Ski Japan Guide 0
Hi Ursula Yes GALA is having to postpone opening. Kagura has some of the top runs open, and trying hard to open more, while Naeba does the same. Other resorts in the town are all closed - about 0-10cm of snow on the slopes at town level. Hope that helps.....
Guest
Hopeless situation!! Well, Thanx, maybe I will go up Kagura or Minamata 'cos much better than go to Mt. Hunter or Ssaws.... (Too many people up there...)
rodders 0
The snow seems to be falling up there now...may be OK to board up there soon.
Blazer 0
Went to Naeba on the 8th and the runs that were open were OK. 2 lifts running from the bottom and the gondola ran to the top. From the top of the gondola there were another 3 lifts running. The snow at the top was pretty good, and not too many people had ventured up there. Word of warning!!! To get down you have to ride the gondola back. Don't do what we did and skip on to the closed runs and board down, the rocks under the 20 cm of snow really screw your base up!!!! Good ridin!!
