Guest Posted January 11, 2002 Share Posted January 11, 2002 My recomendation of a ski resort is "Gran DECO" in Fukushima. It is very large, so there are many lifts. In winter we enjoy skiing in there. And near there, there is harb garden, so we can enjoy Fukushima in summer, too. So I recomend Fkushima for resort. Link to post Share on other sites
Guest Posted January 13, 2002 Share Posted January 13, 2002 Grandeko is fine, so is ALTS, but the snow in Fukushima doesn't tend to be as good as surrounding Yamagata and Niigata, so loses out in many respects. Not too busy though! Link to post Share on other sites
cal 6 Posted January 15, 2002 Share Posted January 15, 2002 I have only been to 2 places in Fukushima. One was Urabandai Nekoma and the other Grandeko. Of the 2 I easily preferred Grandeko, much the better place. I have heard ALTS is a fairly decent place too though. Link to post Share on other sites
kobet 0 Posted January 16, 2002 Share Posted January 16, 2002 I used to live up in Yamagata before I came down here to Kobe, and we sometimes went to resorts in Fukushima. Pretty much as others said, Gran and Alts are the 2 bigger ones, but another I quite liked was Aizu Takatsue....not a bad place at all, and hardly ever busy.
