reverendbuba 0
Anybody know an absolutely cheap, cheap place to stay in Hakuba, ie no meals, no curfew, no fancy french cuisine, just a roof,a futon and a heater.
mogski 0
You had better bring your tent.
NoFakie 45
Nothing cheaper than the back of a car @ 47/Goryu/Iwatake car park (Most of Happo's car parks charge, as do Tsugaike's) Lots of selfish gits park all night at the 7-11, so that you get folk having to stop on the Olympic Road just to get some noodles/have a wazz. Just what you need when visibility's poor and/or the roads are frozen. I heard of one guy getting snowed in his van and taking 30 minutes to get out over New Year, but these things happen. If you want a proper roof, check out Mitch at snowbeds. It's something like 3000 yen per person.

mogski 0
You don't have a roof in your tent? What kind'a tents they seeling these days?!?! Futon fits in not a problem. No room for much else though. Heater - gas burners double up fine. Make you sleep easier too If you don't like the tent idea, perhpas you could rent a van and take NoFakie's advice. Ocean11 0
Or you could try building your own snow hovel. If you make it big enough you can have a nice bucket of hot charcoal in it. Cosy!

Guest
Try Lady Diana Ski Hotel, or St George. Ask for Kazuzo Kato. Its a great place, near the slopes and very reasonable.
