Read with interest about the people talking about Japan not having much in the way of advanced terrain like Europe/US etc.

That may well be so (not too experienced in non-Japanese riding), but what about snow quality. There seems to be loads of shouting about the excellent powder on offer in Hokkaido. I have been there and it was sweet, but is it really the cream of the crop?

Any international riders here care to share on the subject of Japan snow quality.

In my - limited - experience, Japan gets a huge amount of snow. I think someone was talking about this in another thread. Quality? In Hokkaido etc, up with the best. I have seen some amazingly bad conditions though in regions around Gunma, but that was maybe just timing.
