oo 1
Probably well wrong on this but here goes, from what I know (or don't know as the case may be....). But in any case these places get loads of the white stuff: - ARAI, Niigata - Seki Onsen, Niigata - Hakkoda - Up in Hokkaido, Niseko etc. - Hakuba Cortina (???) ?? Anyone know better than me? Twiki 0
Gassan, obviously! The question for the mathmeticians is: if it opens in April with 8-10metres of the stuff on the ground, what is the average annual snowfall? Surely a contender for most snow in the world?
big-will 7
Yes, that would surely be Gassan. Pity it sucks.....!
googler 0
Don't the resorts up in Hokkaido get the most? Or is it just the "best" rather than the "most"?
Ocean11 0
big-will, what's wrong with Gassan? I've tried to find out about the place before with no luck, so perhaps you could give us your impressions of the place?
big-will 7
Ocean11, it's just a really really small place with a couple of rubbish lifts that are a couple of hundred meters long. The fact that it is open when it is etc is basically it's only redeeming quality. That's what I think anyway.
xxx 2
I thought that somewhere in Niigata got the most - ARAI or Okutadami or somewhere. Completely wrong maybe. Gassan sounds like a reasonable choice.
